自身が所有する1937 年から1941 年までアメリカ陸軍航空隊のために生産されていたM-38 Hatをよりかぶりやすくするために再設計。

織糸には、乾燥した過酷な環境で育った羊から採取された、長い繊維と豊かな弾力性を持つウールを使用し、手触りの良いクラシックな表情のツイードに織り上げた。
